Recently Liz returned from a two week vacation in Europe. Along they way she and her husband wanted to visit the Moët & Chandon estate. Today Liz tells the story of what happened and why it’s a perfect example and call for all businesses, big and small to keep their website and Google My Business listing up-to-date.
Another Reason to Keep Your GMB Up-To-Date

Liz: [00:00:26] I know we’ve talked about this before but I have another example of why it really matters. So some of you may know that I was recently in Europe. We visited my husband and I visited the Champagne region of France. We had an amazing time visiting the champagne houses and touring the cellars where the champagne is made and fermented and all that magical stuff that happens down there. One of the places that we really wanted to visit was the big one, Moët & Chandon. And lo and behold they don’t have any hours on their Google my business page and I don’t think their Web site was updated either.
Liz: [00:01:04] My husband tried to email them to set up a cellar tour and it just didn’t happen. And what was so frustrating was that when we actually walked past their location their hours were posted on a sign and they WERE open we totally could have gone. So I was I was really bummed and it kind of sucks for them too because we sampled some amazing champagne and that’s the champagne that I want to drink forever now. The good stuff. So we’re going to be getting other brands we’re not going to be buying Moët because you know we don’t have a personal connection to it so even if you are a big brand like Moët, you should still take the time to update your web. Update your google my business page keep it actively updated so that way you can continue to attract clients and customers and get loyal customers in the future.
Sandro: [00:01:57] We talk about Google because it’s so important it’s the 500 pound gorilla in the room and it’s such a simple thing to do even if you have don’t have time to do other things. It’s just one simple great way to keep your customers happy. So did you buy any champagne did you bring some home?
Liz: [00:02:12] We didn’t bring any home because it’s kind of a pain. . . and a lot of the big names we can get here in the states. It’ll be a little trickier for some of the smaller champagne houses but we’ll just have to go back.
