Sandro: [00:00:18] Thanks Liz. A few weeks ago we did a link building 101 series and over the past week or so I’ve been doing link building on steroids for some new clients and I picked up a few ideas and thoughts that may help you. First a reminder links pointing back to your site from other good Web sites are a clear signal to Google that your web site is a good one. The more links the better. It’s very simple overview but you can review our past episodes will have a link in the show notes. So a few things I’ve learned and ways to get links to your small business one. Talk to your vendors. If you own apartments. Talk to the people who install your carpeting or your plumber or painters. They can give you links. If you’re a restaurant and you buy produce from a small local company. Ask them for a link. Next look for directories that you may not have thought of. You can Google your industry along with the phrase inurl:directory. So if you’re a plumber, Google the phrase “plumber inurl:directory”. What that tells Google is to only show results that have the word directory in their web address or in the URL. Restaurants would seek out “restaurants inurl:directory”. You may want to add a city, so “Cleveland mechanics inurl:directory”. Find those directories and add your business in there, if you’re not already listed. Two more quick ones testimonials if there’s some thing you love a product or service. Let’s say you love your barber, they have the best chess board in town. Tell them “hey you need testimonials for your website being a great barber. Use me and give me a link.” Finally who built your website? Chances are it’s a company or someone with their own Web site ask them to list yours as their client. So just a few quick ideas on ways to get more good links for your site. I’m sure as I learn more about link building I will come back and share that with you all too.
Liz: [00:02:11] Love these tips and some of them are super simple. So thanks for sharing. That wraps up today’s episode.
